Two dead, 12 others seriously injured in Olenguruone crash

Two people died on the spot and 12 others sustained serious injuries following an accident on the Molo-Olenguruone road on Friday evening.

Those injured are receiving treatment at the Olenguruone Sub County Hospital.

Dr. Ephantus Kinyanjui said two of the accident victims had to be referred to another hospital having sustained serious injuries.

Four others have already been treated and discharged while the rest are still admitted.

The accident involved a 14-seater matatu and a salon car at Timoi area.

The driver of the private vehicle is said to have hit the matatu that was heading to Olenguruone from Nakuru.

The cause of the accident is yet to be established.
