Two dead, one injured in grisly road accident

Two people died and another was seriously injured following a grisly road accident that occurred at around 9am on Monday at Nguluni on the Kangundo – Nairobi road.

According to an eyewitness, the victims were seated 20 metres from the road when a saloon car lost control and hit them.

One of them died on the spot while the second one succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.

The third man was rushed to Kangundo Hospital before being referred to the Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment early Monday morning.

Elsewhere, two children are nursing injuries at Machakos General Hospital after a lorry which was ferrying bread to Machakos Town lost control and hit a house they were in.

Police officers in the respective areas have launched a manhunt for the drivers who are reported to have fled uninjured after causing the accidents.
