Two dead, one injured in Kisumu-Busia Highway accident

Two people have died  in a road accident at Kisian junction along the Kisumu-Busia highway.

The accident which happened on the morning of Friday 16,  involved a bus travelling to Kisumu and a personal car travelling the opposite direction to Busia leaving the two dead on the spot.

Kisumu traffic base commandant Jane Mbevi confirmed the incident saying that the bus travelling to Kisumu was trying to overtake when it collided with the Toyota Wish heading to Busia.

One person was critically injured and was rushed to hospital.

This happens as the government intensifies the restoration of  sanity back to the Kenyan roads with the re-implementation of Michuki rules in the transport industry.
