Two I&M Bank employees arrested over missing Ksh.27M

Two employees of I&M bank Kisii branch were arrested on Friday over claims of stealing Ksh.27million.

Tom Odhiambo Adinda and Daniel Ochieng Okweh allegedly mixed 100 and 1000 notes in each 1million bundle of notes.

They were reportedly the key vault custodians at the time of the incident.

They are set to appear in court on Monday.

This is not the first time bank employees have been linked to fraud from this region.

In August this year, a bank manager who worked at Diamond Trust Bank, Kisii branch, was arrested on similar charges.

He was indicted over the theft of Ksh.25million from a customer’s fixed account.
