Two students including a KCPE candidate were killed while two others were rushed to Hospital after they were struck by lightning at Kojwando village,Kawuor sub location in Ndhiwa constituency on Thursday evening.

The students; a candidate at Lwanda Kawuro Primary School and a form two student at Obera secondary school in Ndhiwa met their untimely death when they were playing football alongside other minors.

While confirming the incident, Homa Bay County police commander Marius Tum says two other pupils who sustained injuries during the incident were rushed to Royal Hospital in Rongo Sub County for treatment.

The bodies of the two students were moved to Homa Bay County teaching and Referral Hospital.
