Two killed after lorry rams matatu on Kangundo-Nairobi Road

Two people were killed and several others injured after a lorry hit a matatu on the Kangundo-Nairobi road.

Police said the lorry hit the 14-seater Nissan matatu at Joska area on Saturday.

Kangundo OCPD Benjamin Ong’ombe said some of the passengers who were injured were rushed to Kangundo Level 4 Hospital while others are at Nguluni Health Centre.

Bodies of the deceased have been moved to the mortuary at Kangundo Hospital.

In March last year, another two people lost their lives in a similar accident on the Kangundo-Nairobi Road.

A matatu collided with a Land Rover at Kwa Nguku area and the drivers of both vehicles died on the spot.
