Two Killed After Their Vehicle Plunges Into A Dam

The vehicle is said to have rolled before plunging into the dam at Hohwe Dam in Thaithi area, Mathira Sub County.

According to an eye witness Antony Gitonga, the Toyota Hilux double cabin plunged into the dam while trying to overtake a trailer

Gitonga says soldiers from British Army and Training Unit in Kenya(BATUK) managed to rescue one person and rushed him to hospital

Mathira West Deputy County Commissioner Mohammed Galgalo said the rescue team was handicapped as they did not have professionals and equipment for the rescue mission

Only the car's registration number KBX 886 R was found in the dam.
