Two killed in grisly Nakuru accident

Two people were on Monday killed in a grisly road accident at Marishoni in Nakuru County after a lorry loaded with logs rammed the motorbike they were riding on.

Speaking to Citizen Digital on phone, Marishoni Ward MCA Agnes Salimu said the two victims, a pastor and his passenger, were heading to Kaprop from Marishoni when the accident took place.

Irate area residents later set on fire a lorry belonging to the timber company that had come to check on the scene of the accident.

The MCA, however, called on the locals to keep calm and wait for police to carry out investigations into the incident.

Local security officials could not be reached for comment on the accident by the time this article was published.
