Two killed in Nakuru fire incident

Two people died on Saturday night in a fire that broke out at Olenguruone town in Kuresoi South, Nakuru County.

Confirming the incident, Sinendet Location chief Joseph Ngetich said the two victims were burnt beyond recognition.

The deceased were in one of the 10 houses that were gutted down by the midnight fire, whose cause could not be immediately established.

Speaking on Sunday morning, the area chief said security officers would collect the remains of the victims to assist in their identification.

The locals have decried the rampant fire incidences in the area. In the recent past, fire outbreaks have been reported in Keringet, Tendwet, Olenguruone and Kiptagich areas.
