Two killed, one critically injured after car rammed a tractor ferrying poles
Two people perished while a third one is in critical condition at the Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital in Eldoret following a dawn accident at the Maili Tisa interchange on the Eldoret – Webuye Highway.
According to the Eldoret West OCPD Edward Masibo who confirmed the incident, the private car which had three occupans rammed a tractor which was ferrying poles.
The tractor had stalled on the road.
A police report seen by Citizen Digital said the driver and his shot gun passenger were killed on the spot by the poles which tore through the windshield.
A third passenger who was seated at the back sustained serious injuries and is receiving medical care.
Police officers have launched a man-hunt for the driver of the tractor who disappeared shortly after the accident.
The bodies of the deceased were moved to the Moi Teaching and Refferal Hospital mortuary in Eldoret.
