Two killed, two injured in Mombasa shooting
Two people were shot dead and two others seriously injured after they were allegedly attacked by three unidentified men riding a motorbike in Kisauni area in Mombasa County.
This comes as police maintained that only one person died during the night incident Mshomoroni area.
According to locals, led by area village elder Joseph Deng’eyaa, three suspects stormed a local alcohol den and shot the people indiscriminately before escaping.
The locals further expressed fears following mushrooming of criminal gangs that have been robbing and attacking locals at night in the area.
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and area MP Rashid Bedzimba urged security apparatus to work closely with the locals leaders to address insecurity problem instead of pointing fingers at others.
Meanwhile, Kisauni Deputy County Commissioner Julius Kavita said police have launched investigation to establish those behind the attackers.
