Two Lithuanian nationals arrested in possession of 2kg heroin at JKIA

Two Lithuanian nationals were on Thursday night arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after they were found in possession of heroin.

The two, who were enroute Dubai, were nabbed by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations’ (DCI) Anti-Narcotics Unit.

The sleuths confiscated approximately 2kg of heroin from the suspects’ bags during a routine search on travelers’ belongings.

The drugs were found concealed at the false bottoms of the duo’s suitcases.

The two – Stendelis Rokas, 20, and Brencius Karolis, 30 – are presently in lawful custody as suspects of trafficking in narcotics as investigations continue.
