Two men killed by unknown assailants in Kwale

Police have launched investigations into the murder of two men killed on Saturday night by unknown assailants in separate incidents at Msambwweni in Ukunda, Kwale County.

Confirming the incident, Area OCPD Nehemiah Bitok said one of the deceased, Sheikh Shee Omar from Mabokoni Mosque, was shot dead at around 9:30 pm.

In another incident, Bakari Dondo, who was the head of security in the area had his throat slit in cold blood and thereafter thrown into a ditch by 15 unknown assailants armed with guns, knives and pangas.

Mr. Bitok however assured members of the public of their safety asserting that the police were carrying out investigations to ascertain the motive of the attacks and nab the perpetrators.

He further urged anyone with information on the two incidents to report to the police station.
