Two more witnesses record statements over Sharon Otieno murder

Two witnesses have recorded statements with the police in Migori over the murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.

Speaking to Radio Ramogi, Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge denied reports that one person was on Sunday arrested in connection with Otieno’s brutal killing.

This comes after a source revealed to Citizen Digital that an unidentified individual was arrested and taken into custody by Migori police on Sunday evening.

Mr. Nthenge added that more investigations into the killing are still underway, further asserting that more witnesses are expected to record statements.

The county police boss also called on locals to stop speculation over the death of the student assuring them that the police would establish the people responsible.

A pregnant Sharon Otieno was found murdered two weeks ago and her body dumped at Kodera forest in Homa Bay County.
