Two robbery with violence suspects escape from Ruiru Police Station

Two robbery with violence suspects are presently on the run after escaping from Ruiru Police Station where they were being held.

Confirming the incident, Ruiru OCPD Phineas Ringerah said the suspects – Wycliffe Kori Achola and Dennis Atiwa – strangled the police officer on duty at the time and left him injured before fleeing on Wednesday at 5a.m.

Mr. Ringerah further stated that the two, who were set to be arraigned in court over robbery with violence charges later in the day, are dangerous and urged the public to assist with information regarding their whereabouts.

“We are still pursuing them and requesting the members of the public to assist us in tracing these suspects,” said the police boss.

He further sought to reassure security stakeholders as well as members of the public that none of the officers at the station were killed or seriously harmed during the 5a.m escape.
