Two suspected gangsters gunned down in Kisumu

Police in Kisumu County have gunned down two suspected gangsters at Toyota Kenya area.

According to an eyewitness, Paul Owino, the two who were on a motorbike were killed on the spot while the rider escaped in an incident that took place next to Obunga slums Saturday, June 17, 2017.

Kisumu County Police Commander, Titus Yoma, said they got a tip off from the members of the public that the three suspects intended to commit a robbery at the town centre.

Yoma says a G3 gun with five rounds of ammunition was recovered from the suspects.

The bodies of the deceased were removed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral mortuary pending an autopsy.
