Two suspected thugs shot dead in shootout with cops in Kawangare

Two alleged thugs were shot and killed by police officers patrolling the Stage 56 area of Kawangware on Wednesday night, according to reports.

According to a police report obtained by Citizen Digital, the two suspects were part of a trio that attacked and robbed an unidentified man at gunpoint earlier in the evening.

The report said police officers on patrol ordered them to surrender, but they opened fire, resulting in a fierce shoot out.

Two suspects were killed during the shoot out while a third escaped on a motorcycle with a fictitious registration number.

A 9 mm calibre fire-arm with one round was recovered and handed over to DCI ballistic experts for examination.

The two suspects’ bodies were taken to the City Mortuary.
