Two suspects arrested for allegedly defiling 4 school girls in Kisumu

Police in Kondele have arrested two men accused of defiling four minors in separate incidents in Manyatta slums in Kisumu Central Sub-county.

Kondele OCS Boniface Mutie on Tuesday said the two suspects are being held at the station and will be processed awaiting court action.

The first suspect; Samuel Ambasa Kirumbe  aged 30, allegedly repeatedly defiled three minors aged 13, 14 and 17 while Kelvin Ochieng aged 28 is accused of defiling a 12-year-old minor.

One of the parents whose Class 5 daughter was defiled by one of the suspects who is her neighbour narrated that the 12-year-old girl went missing on Sunday evening at around 7pm sending them into a panic as a search for her continued overnight until Monday morning.

The woman said they later established that her neighbour locked the minor inside his house and defiled her, adding that the same neighbour pretended to be helping them to search for the girl yet he knew what happened.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
