Two suspects arrested over kidnapping, torture of Kamukunji businesswoman

The main suspects behind the kidnapping of Kamukunji-based businesswoman Hafsa Mohamed Lukman have been arrested in Kinangop, Nyandarua County.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) nabbed the suspects, Jackson Njogu, 24 and Hafsa Abdi, 21 at Crystal view lodge.

The two lovers, who are said to have masterminded the kidnapping of Hafsa from her shop, managed to siphon a total of Ksh.650,000 from her bank accounts.

They then reportedly escaped to Kinangop and purchased a bar which they were operating.

The two kidnappers had demanded a ransom Ksh.5 million, but when it was not delivered, they opted to flee.

Hafsa was found by detectives last Sunday at a dingy room in Matopeni area in Kayole.
