Two suspects captured on CCTV robbing a man in Kilimani remanded with 5 others

Two suspects who were seen on CCTV robbing a pedestrian in Kilimani have been remanded for seven days to allow police to conclude investigations.

According to a miscellaneous application filed in court on Monday morning, the two have been linked to a spate of robberies alongside five others.

“The respondents have been captured on different CCTV footage installed at the scenes of crime and at the time of arrest, 4 different mobile phones were recovered all which are believed to be stolen or contain vital information that will assist in investigations,”court papers read.

The suspects are Humphrey Minyata, Jahan Timothy Mzami, Mary Wambui, Ali Musa, Collins Munyasa Munanga, Adan Alio Ali and Ibrahim Hussein.

Investigating officers revealed that police had been trailing the suspects for some time.

According to the officers, the mode of operation for the suspects would be to commit the offences and immediately go to their hideouts after which they would resurface again after some time.

Further, police reports indicate that the six are associated with other suspects who are still at large and have been terrorising members of public who may be walking to work or jogging in the morning.

Those who resist were reportedly threatened with actual violence.
