Uhuru condemns shooting of rancher Kuki Gallmann
President Uhuru Kenyatta has condemned the shooting of Laikipia Nature Conservancy Director, Kuki Gallmann.
The President says the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, is investigating the matter and the culprits will be brought to book.
In a statement, the Head of State warned politicians from Laikipia against encouraging invasions of private property or attacks on individuals.
Gallman was shot in the stomach by raiders early this morning and she was airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment.
Last month raiders shot dead Sosian ranch co-owner Tristan Voorspuy in Laikipia after they invaded the ranch in search of pasture.
