Uhuru leads Ushirika Day celebrations in different parts of Nairobi

The 2019 Ushirika Day celebrations kicked off in Nairobi on Saturday with President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Chief Guest.

The event is to be celebrated at different locations in the county with security agents already deployed and on patrol in different areas.

President Kenyatta began by commissioning the revamped New Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC) Dandora Factory on Saturday morning.

He then proceeded to Upper Hill to officially open the National Co-operative Housing Union (NACHU) Plaza followed by Mwalimu Towers in the same area.

The climax of Ushirika Day celebrations will be at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) where the President will deliver his keynote address.

Leaders who accompanied the President are Trade and Industrialisation CS Peter Munya and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
