Uhuru mourns former KRA boss John Munge

President Uhuru Kenyatta has sent a message of condolence following the death of former Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Commissioner General John Munge.

Mr. Munge died while undergoing treatment at a Nairobi hospital.

On Wednesday, President Kenyatta said the country had lost a patriot who served Kenyans with integrity: ““John Munge was a great Kenyan who was committed to the betterment of the country through hard work and dedication.”

According to the Head of State, the late Munge was always ready to use his professional skills to contribute to nation building.

He was a founding partner of the Shah Munge and Partners Stock Brokers, one of the original brokers at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).

The late Munge resigned from KRA in March 2003 following allegation of lost funds and the collapse of Euro Bank.
