Leaders mourn ex-Cabinet minister Henry Obwocha
Former Cabinet Minister and West Mugirango MP Henry Obwocha has died.
President Uhuru Kenyatta sent his condolences saying:
“It is with deep sadness that I learn of the untimely death of Hon. Henry Obwocha this morning.
“The late was a distinguished long serving public servant, lawmaker and accountant whose service to the nation will be greatly missed.”
Deputy President William Ruto said Henry Obwocha served the country with distinction, mettle and perfomed admirably in the Planning and National Development docket.
On his part, Opposition leader Raila Odinga described Obwocha as a dedicated public servant of high integrity.
“My very sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, the people of Mugirango whom he served with dedication as MP and the Abagusii community in general.”
Ford Kenya leader and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula also expressed his condolence message saying Henry Obwocha distinguished himself as a great lawmaker for his party in the 7th Parliament.
