Uhuru Park out of bounds to public
Members of the public will from today not be able to access to Uhuru Park in a bid to allow preparations for the Mashujaa Day Celebrations set for next Friday.
According to Interior Principal Secretary Dr Karanja Kibicho, the decision to use the recreational park for the event was made since the traditional venue, Nyayo National Stadium is closed for renovations.
Kibicho, who also doubles up as the chairman of the national celebrations steering committee has in the meantime apologized to members of the public for any inconveniences caused.
Mashujaa Day is celebrated on October 20 every year in honor of great men and women in pre and post independence eras in the country’s history.
