Uhuru, Ruto ask Rift Valley to back Jubilee fully

President Uhuru Kenyatta led the country in mourning former independent party – Kenya African National Union (KANU) – Member of Parliament, Mark Too, who was laid to rest at his Kapseret home in Nandi County.

During the burial, President Kenyatta seized the opportunity to call on residents of the vote-rich Rift Valley to back Jubilee Party in the August 8, 2017 elections.

President Kenyatta, who will be seeking to defend his seat, said that the Jubilee administration has done a lot for Rift Valley and the country at large and hence need for a re-election.

“We want to win together and create a prosperous peaceful Kenya,” said the President.

His deputy, William Ruto, called on the mourners present to emulate the character of the Late Too, who he described as a great counsellor and a peacemaker.

“Mark had friends in Kings and Mighty but remained a simple man,” noted Mr Ruto.

Ruto did not fail to mention the reminiscent character of the Late Too as a great diplomat.

“He solved political troubles here in Kenya, East Africa and Africa as a whole.”

The two leaders expressed optimism that the Jubilee will win the election and unite the country.
