Uhuru, Ruto promise more goodies for Rift Valley

President Uhuru Kenyatta has called upon residents of Trans Nzoia County to vote for Jubilee Party in all elective positions in the August 8 General Election, saying that a vote for the party is a vote to transform and develop the country.

The President, who was speaking during a campaign rally on Thursday, June 9 in Kitale, remained adamant that his administration has completed many projects to help Kenyans including scrapping off of exam fees for students, connecting more people to electricity, tarmacking of various roads across the country, urging them to give him five more years to complete the numerous transformative plans and development programs.

“I want to call upon you people of Trans Nzoia, in 2013 you were a bit elusive to me but this time around let us be together in Jubilee to transform this country. My government will further subsidize fertilizer for farmers to be able to access good quality for increase in farm produce. We will look into the matter of integrated IDPs to resettle them too,” said President Kenyatta.

Accompanying the President, his Deputy William Ruto launched a scathing attack on the opposition, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga referring to him as ‘someone who lacks transformative ideas and who is accustomed to insults and empty rhetoric’.

According to the Deputy President, voting for the Raila Odinga-led opposition outfit will be a step forward and two steps backward for Kenyans.

“We know our brothers in opposition, NASA, have no development agenda in mind for you, Kenyans. Please vote for Jubilee from top to bottom in the coming polls for us to continue building roads, connecting people to electricity and many other plans. Let’s form the government together this time,” added the Deputy President.
