Uhurus government has failed miserably Raila

The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, retreated to statesmanship mood to deliver a sobering speech while attending a Sunday Service at St. Stephens Church in Kisumu on Sunday, May 21.

Raila urged Kenyans to rise above ‘narrow ethnic considerations’ to elect leaders based on ethical standing adding that Kenyans must embrace tolerance and peaceful co-existence in order to achieve a prosperous nation according to the will of the founding fathers.

“We are condemned to live in this geographical space called Kenya. This is where God put us and we must be prepared to live and to co-exist with people,” said sober Raila.

“Don’t vote for Raila because he is a fellow Luo, don’t vote for Uhuru because he is a fellow Kikuyu. Vote for Raila or Uhuru because of what they represent. Differentiate between right and wrong, separate grains from chaff. This is what Kenyans must do,” he added.

He faulted Jubilee government of plunging the country into disunity and untenable cost of living through poor governance and empty rhetoric.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader said that the Uhuru Kenyatta-led government is incapable of changing this country even if it is allowed 100 years in power.

He rubbished Jubilee’s pledge of free secondary education if elected back into power during the August 8 polls saying it has already been in power for the last four years and has never delivered on its promises.

He pleaded with Kenyans to elect people who ‘understand change and are committed to deliver it.’

He also urged supporters to elect candidates vying under the National Super Alliance (NASA) and ignore independent candidates claiming to be allied to the coalition.

He said that his coalition is also focused on attaining majority in the houses of representation over and above clinching presidency.

“Independent candidates are independents and are free to campaign for themselves. We have not said anywhere that will are going to campaign for independent candidates,” he said.
