UhuRuto Express team lobbies voters in Embu

UhuRuto Express Central Kenya team led by Gichugu Member of Parliament, Njogu Barua, took to Embu County on Thursday, July 6, 2017 to mobilise residents to turn up in large numbers and cast their ballot on August 8.

The Team rubbished NASA’s blue print alleging it is absolute mockery and a five-man scheme to sabotage Kenya’s economy.

The Uhuruto Express team made stop overs at Kanyuambora, Ishiara, Kirie, Itira and Siakago. At Mbeere North, where they drummed up support for President Uhuru Kenyatta by urging residents to turn out in large numbers and vote.

Nominated MP, Isaac Mwaura, expressed his fear that cases that were facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, at the International Criminal Court (ICC) may be revived if NASA takes office in August.

“If you do not turn out to vote for Uhuru, the NASA team has vowed to bring back the ICC cases,” he said.

The campaign team used Speaker of the National Assembly, Justin Muturi, as their back-anchor to persuade Embu people to vote, reminding them that it is Jubilee  that endorsed Muturi for that position.

On the other hand, Maragua MP, Peter Kamande Wambuku, dismissed NASA as a group of power-hungry people with nothing solid to offer Kenyans.

Kigumo Legislator, Jamleck Kamau, advocated for peace and a 100% voter turnout.

“Kindly carry even the sick to the polling stations to cast their votes. We want a 100% turn out. At the same time, maintain peace as all we want is a peaceful election process,” Kamau said.

Other state officers that attended the rally were Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna, Gichugu MP Njogu Barua, Subukia MP Nelson Gaichuhia and Mbere North MP Muriuki Njagagua.
