Underage Girls Married Off in Baringo

This follows a circumcision rite that they underwent in December.

Efforts made by the police to rescue them from early marriage were futile.

Police officers and some relatives of the girls were chased away by armed men from Endorois community.

East Pokot Mp Ausman Kamama has said that FGM and early marriages among school going girls in Baringo must stop.

Kamama asked residents to embrace education and ordered all chiefs to arrest parents who will practice FGM in the region.
