Uninspected Meat Nabbed Nakuru

The officials impounded the meat at a private slaughter house in Lanet, Umoja estate.

Over ten cows had already been slaughtered and cut into pieces, five carcasses had been loaded onto a pick-up while three others had been locked in one of the rooms at the slaughter house.

Led by public health officer Samuel King’ori, public health officials, together with undercover police officers, arrested one suspect.

Several other suspects managed to escape and are still at large.

The incident happens barely a week after four people died after consuming uninspected meat in the same county.
