Unprecedented experience: Lulu Hassan, Rashid Abdalla to co-host same bulletin

Renowned news anchors Lulu Hassan and her husband Rashid Abdalla have been paired to co-host Nipashe Wikendi every Saturday and Sunday beginning July 22, 2018.

This is the first time in Kenyan media circles for a couple to co-host a news programme.

Rashid Abdalla fills in the shoes of Kanze Dena who was appointed as the Deputy State House Spokesperson on June 5, 2018.

He joins the Citizen TV crew from NTV.

The new Nipashe team comprises Swaleh Mdoe, Jamila Mohamed, Mwanahamisi Hamadi, Nimrod Taabu, Mashirima Kapombe and the power couple Rashid and Lulu.

Swaleh Mdoe will be hosting the Monday Swahili bulletin, while Mwanahamisi Hamadi will present news every Tuesday.

Jamila Mohammed, who is the Swahili news editor, will host Nipashe on Wednesdays.

Veteran broadcaster Nimrod Taabu, formerly of NTV, will present news on Thursday while Mashirima Kapombe, who joined Citizen TV from KTN will kick start your weekend on Friday.
