Varsity students go on rampage over colleagues death

Students of the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University in Bondo went on rampage on Saturday morning, protesting the death of one of them at an entertainment spot on Friday evening.

During the protests, the students set ablaze a night club, where their colleague was stabbed to death paralyzing operations and disrupting business in Bondo town in the process.

The row is reported to have erupted after the deceased engaged in a brawl with fellow colleagues over a lady, forcing security bouncers to intervene.

Police have launched investigations into the Friday night incident.

The student who was rushed to Bondo sub- country hospital was pronounced dead on arrival.
