Veteran Journalist Killed In Eldoret

The assailants were reportedly trailing him while on his way home from work at around 8 pm.

According to family members who viewed the body at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue, the body has a deep cut on his neck and bruises all over, an indication that he struggled to save himself before he was killed.

Kituyi, who is also a proprietor of a weekly newspaper, is said to have alighted from a Matatu when he was attacked.

This comes barely a month after another journalist was abducted and dumped in Burnt Forest area along the Eldoret – Nakuru highway.

Efforts to reach the police were fruitless.
