The Supreme Court has upheld the election Fahim Twaha as Lamu Governor.
In their ruling, the judges supported the ruling of the lower court saying it did not go beyond its jurisdiction.
“We are in agreement with the CA that the scrutiny report was considered and irregularities were appreciated,” they said.
It was however noted that the appellant Issa Timamy was unable to prove any allegations of impartiality.
The former Lamu Governor moved to the Supreme Court after he failed to unseat Twaha in the lower court.
The Appellate Court headed by Alnasir Visram had found the case lacked merit.
