Barely weeks to the planned merger of parties in the Jubilee Alliance, a section of Central Kenya leaders have opposed the dissolution of the National Alliance Party, complicating efforts to form a new re-election vehicle for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

A section of elected leaders meeting in Nyeri have questioned the rationale behind calls to dissolve the parties and accused jubilee of neglecting the region.
