VIDEO: African Heads Of State Back Push For Total Ban On Ivory Trade

3 African Heads of State attending the Giants Club Summit at the Mount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki say they will push for a total ban on the ivory trade. They hope to do this during this year’s convention on international trade in endangered species (cites) conference in South Africa.
But as Sylvia Chebet now reports, a cocktail of solutions including strengthening legal processes and modernizing agriculture to prevent habitat loss will be required to save the African elephant.
