VIDEO: Cervical Cancer Testing: Lancet Kenya launches friendlier kit

Kenyan woman of reproductive age now has an alternative to the Pap smear that is currently used to screen women for cervical cancer, a procedure many deem embarrassing and intrusive. Lancet Kenya has launched a DNA-based technology that allows women to take samples in their privacy of their homes or bathrooms, and then submit these samples for testing. The new testing kit is also expected to lower the cost by 60 per cent.
