VIDEO: Jersey court wants Okemo, Gichuru to return Ksh 1B

A Royal Court in Jersey has ordered the repatriation of over one billion shillings worth of cash and assets recovered from a money laundering scam involving former Energy and Finance Minister Chris Okemo and former Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Power and Lighting Company Samuel Gichuru. This is after a company which the two used to corruptly acquire money from the KPLC through irregular award of valuable contracts pleaded guilty to money laundering charges.
