VIDEO: Karura Forest grabbed by private developer

One of the last remaining icons of Kenya’s forest conservation efforts, the Karura Forest is under threat from a private developer said to have hived off 25 acres of land from the forest. The developer is said to be planning to put up a five star hotel on the said grabbed land. Kenya Forest Service which placed an advert inviting bidders to develop the land says it has not concluded the award of the tender.
