VIDEO: KQ to hold accountable those behind its financial crisis

Those behind Kenya Airways’ financial woes will be held accountable after the completion of a forensic audit of the airline’s financial performance. That is according to KQ Chief Executive Mbuvi Ngunze who said that the forensic audit is meant to establish where the airline went wrong with its internal controls and revenue leakages. The airline in February appointed Deloitte Consulting to carry out an audit dating back to 2010, about the same time the airline was implementing its ambitious expansion plan. Kenya Airways posted a half-year net loss of 10.9 billion shillings and is currently formulating a turnaround strategy. One big concern has been on its spending decisions with, the CEO keen to seal revenue leakages and tighten spending at the airline.
