VIDEO: ODM’s Obure, Onyonka set to defect to jubilee

A section of cord lawmakers from Kisii region are headed to the jubilee coalition, as political alliances shift, ahead of next year’s general election. The leaders, among them Kisii Senator Chris Obure and deputy governor Joash Maangi were at state house, Nairobi for a Meting with President Uhuru Kenyatta. Though they claimed the meeting was purely on matters development, sources say this was part of the jubilee coalition’s charm offensive, and strategic raids in areas considered cord strongholds. Mogotio Mp Prof. Hellen Sambili is also headed to the jubilee party from the Jogoo party-Kanu, as the wave of pre-election defections gathers momentum.
