In 2015 KQ reported a bombshell loss of KES. 25.7B. Public oversight institutions observed that poor management decisions, operational inefficiencies and failure to counter competition are likely to have caused the monumental loss. The airline is also said to be involved in expensive and non-competitive ticketing, which led to loss of passengers. But the turnaround strategy in place could make all the difference the national carrier needs to overcome this significant burden.
