Man dies after being attacked over possessed cat that killed calf in Nyando

An old man suspected of engaging in witchcraft with his cat has died at Ahero sub county hospital, Nyando after he was attacked by a mob.

Ahero sub county hospital Superitendant Dr Bernard Owino had earlier said they managed to stabilise him after be was brought to the hospital.

He however revealed that the man died as he was being put in an ambulance to be transferred to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital for further care.

According to him, the deceased suffered severe head and chest injuries alongside multiple fractures from blunt objects.

Dr. Owino added that the daughter has been transferred to JOOTRH and she is in a stable condition.
