Waititu now says Kabogo faked his University academic papers

Kabete Member of Parliament Ferdinand Waititu now claims that Kiambu Governor William Kabogo faked his academic papers indicating that he graduated from Punjab University in India.

In a replying affidavit filed at the High Court,Waititu challenged Kabogo to produce in court, his academic transcripts from Punajab University to confirm that  he studied and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the Indian University.

Waitutu reiterated that he graduated from Punjab University as Clifford Ndungu Waititu contrary to claims by Kabogo.

The Kabete MP was replying to a case filed by Kabogo who has sued him challenging his academic qualifications.

Kabogo claims Waititu has breached the Leadership and Integrity Act on grounds that he does not have a degree as he claims.

In April 2016, Kabogo asked for more time to present documents on the alleged forgery of academic certificates by Waititu.

This was after Kabogo was unable to produce the documents in a Nairobi court as earlier directed.

Kabogo had been asked to prove the authenticity of the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) certificates he used to challenge Waititu’s academic qualifications.

This is was after the court heard that the exams body successfully verified that Governor Kabogo used forged KNEC results to question Waititu’s academic qualifications.

Kabogo had moved to court alleging that the Kabete MP is unfit to contest for any elective office due to his academic qualifications.

In an urgent certificate, Kabogo, through his lawyer Issa Mansur, argued that Waititu does not possess any valid university degree from a recognized university and there is no evidence that the MP went through a process of learning at the university of Punjab University in India.

In late March 2016, Waititu defended himself against allegations that he fraudulently acquired a degree certificate from Punjab University in India.

“I would like everyone to know that my mother separated from my father for 12 years. I was brought up by a single mother and I was using my grandmother’s name at that time. When they reunited I started using my father’s name,” Waititu clarified as to why he changed his names.
