Waluke wants Jubilee to punish rebel Kamanda for endorsing Imran Okoth

Sirisia MP John Waluke faulted his nominated counterpart Maina Kamanda over the endorsement of Imran Okoth for the Kibra by-election.

Speaking over the weekend, Waluke accused Kamanda of rebelling against their party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The President recently endorsed football legend MacDonald Mariga as the Jubilee candidate for the Kibra by-election.

However, Kamanda appeared in a Press conference last week and announced that he was supporting the ODM candidate Imran Okoth.

Kamanda was adamant that as an individual he can support a candidate of his choice and he is not mandated to endorse the one selected by Jubilee.

However, Waluke insists that the Jubilee Party board of management should discipline Kamanda for dividing the party.

According to him, Kamanda is working with the opposition. “It is now evident that Kamanda is being used by Raila Odinga to split the Jubilee  party by endorsing Imran Okoth, the ODM candidate,” he said.

He also hit out at Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kobicho accusing him of frustrating DP William Ruto.

“Attacks on Deputy President William Ruto means he has no respect to his employer and the Jubilee Party,” he added.
