ODM targets to remove Wamalwa as deputy minority whip

Barely two weeks after the unceremonial removal of Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula as the senate minority leader, a section of ODM Party lawmakers in the National Assembly have hatched a plot to kick out Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa of Ford Kenya from his position.

Wamalwa currently holds the position of the National Assembly’s deputy minority whip, being there on a Ford Kenya ticket.

“I am going to petition that seat of Chris Wamalwa in the National Assembly it is ours, ” said Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo.

In the National Assembly, out of the four leadership slots, ODM bagged two, with Ford Kenya and Wiper party getting one slot each.

The plot against Wamalwa comes at a time the NASA affiliate parties are engaging in a war of words following the unity pact between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga in which Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya bosses claimed they were not consulted.

The Gem MP also mentioned that they would not take the attacks directed toward them lying down.

He has also hit back at ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi over his remarks, that Raila Odinga was no longer the NASA leader.
