Wambora threatens to expose defiant MCAs
Embu County Governor Martin Wambora on Friday threatened to expose ward representatives who will reject his preferred choice for county speaker.
Governor Wambora, who is now serving his second term in office after he was sworn on Friday, said that some MCAs have already started rallying behind a speaker of their choice.
The once-embattled governor fired the salvo ahead of Tuesday’s official inauguration of the Embu County Assembly which tried to impeach him twice during his first term.
Wambora warned the ward reps that his first term was politically disturbed thus distracting him from his development agenda for the county and wants to put in place a speaker and deputy speaker aligned to his vision.
However, he promised to form an all-inclusive government to heal the division that had emerged during the electioneering period.
The county boss lauded Embu residents, claiming they had gotten rid of politicians who had been distablilizing his government but incoming ward reps promised to support his leadership.
