We do not want a coalition gov’t – NASA to Jubilee

The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, has refuted claims made by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto that the opposition is plotting to demand for a coalition government after the August 8 General Election.

Speaking during a press conference on Tuesday, July 11 in Nairobi, the former Prime Minister said that NASA is ready for the much-anticipated polls, as opposed to Jubilee which has maintained that NASA plans to postpone the polls using courts, exuding confidence that he will trounce President Kenyatta who have failed to deliver on the pledges he made to Kenyans in 2013.

According to Mr. Odinga, the cases they have filed against the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) related to the polls are meant to ensure that the electoral body conducts a free, fair and credible election that will reflect the will of the people and should not be misjudged by Jubilee.

“Jubilee should stop linking us, NASA, to violence because we are committed to maintaining as well as preaching peace across the country in this electioneering period. Kenyans are fed up with this administration, Jubilee, and I will trounce my competitor come August,” said Mr. Odinga.

Nevertheless, the ODM Party leader has replicated President Kenyatta’s idea by committing to concede defeat if Jubilee wins fairly.

Elsewhere, in Sikusi Area of Bungoma County, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has warned the ruling coalition, Jubilee, against intimidating the Judiciary.
