We have blocked Jubilee’s polls rigging channels – Raila

The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, now says that the end of the road for Jubilee is On August 8 General Election, following the Court of Appeal’s upholding of a lower court ruling that presidential election results as announced at the polling station level are final.

The former Prime Minister, who was speaking during a campaign rally in Bungoma County on Friday, June 23, said that today’s decision by the court will play a big role towards ensuring that democracy and the will of the people prevail in the elections.

According to him, Jubilee will not be able to influence the outcome of elections in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s favour, as rogue IEBC officials – who will be under instructions from the ruling coalition – will not change election results at the constituency level.

“Today we have made a huge step towards sending Jubilee home because the Court of Appeal has affirmed that IEBC should not change results from constituencies. The trick of Jubilee to rig in the polls will not prevail this time round. They will go home in August,” said Odinga.

Odinga’s presidential running mate, Kalonzo Musyoka, accused the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led administration of massive corruption scandals, taking a swipe at a government that according to him have stolen everything until they have now started stealing food for its citizens.

“We must all unite to send home Jubilee. They are thieves. You can imagine a government that have stolen money and everything until now they are stealing even food,” said the Wiper Party leader amid cheers from the charged crowd in Tongaren.

Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader, Musalia Mudavadi, laughed-off Jubilee’s claims that NASA has sensed defeat and they are already devising means by which they can form a coalition government.

“Jubilee are saying that we want to form a coalition government, I am saying here today that what we want is to send Jubilee home come August and not a coalition government,” said Mudavadi.

Kalonzo also faulted the government for importing maize “that is not fit for human consumption from Mexico”.
